The Northampton Powwow Experience weekend is set in a Family / Children Friendly beautiful 10 acre grassy fields & 40 Acre woodlands venue set in Overstone scout camp, billing lane, Northampton, NN6 0AF
( NN3 5NS Woodland Walk for sat nav as its accross the road from the entrance )
The venue has Multiple Lodges dotted over the site with 100+ bunk beds available for low cost weekend hire or many exquisite shady or open areas to camp with your tent
We are offering a small but remarkable Native American Indian style experience ( A Powwow ) showcasing traditional type drums, drummers, singers, dancers, workshops and much more over the weekend
We invite like minded people either within the powwow communities or people with a common Native American Indian interest to help us celebrate this beautiful experience and journey weekend

PUBLIC ENTRY TIMES
Saturday 11am to 5pm & Sunday 11am to 4.30pm are the Main Event days
The venue is child safe and family friendly as its normally a scout camp and it has all amenities such as hot showers, real toilet blocks, children’s slide, children’s mini assault course and climbing wall etc
DOGS: your dog is welcome but please bring a water bowl and doggy poo bags and keep it on a leash at all times
Onsite parking is available
LODGES & BUNK BEDS
If you prefer to stay for a night or two in a lodge dorm room with bunk beds, you will need to bring a sheet, pillow and duvet.
All the bunks have mattresses
The cost is to be arranged but we guess it will be approx £10 for up to 2 nights ( fri-sat )
As a special for the weekend campers we will be offering the popular flute, shamanic drumming, didgeridoo, handpan etc open mic sessions in the evening from 8pm
WEEKEND GUESTS EVENING SPECIALS
a very special one off contrasting performance by the drum troupe Inta Africa on the saturday evening 9PM, this band is normally only seen at major festivals and events on main stages

FREE CHARGING of phones, laptops and other electronics etc
Electric sockets are freely available in the lodges to lodge guests and we will be offering a 4 gang 240v 4 socket charging station onsite for people to use in the upper field area
The earliest Public entry is 11am Saturday 12th
Traders and Crew can arrive on Friday the 11th from 12 miday
Everyone must be offsite by Sunday 7PM
Due to the landlords covenant and fires we will have 1 off the ground communal one in a suitable area
Please be courteous and understanding as the venue is now surrounded on two sides by residential homes and as such the event licences are granted on the understanding we cease noise at 10pm
We are allowing dogs onsite but they must be kept on a lead at all times, you are responsible for supplying a water / food bowl and clearing us any dog fouling with your own poo bags
Even though we are offering an experience weekend Powwow Etiquette is very important to us and other guests:
NO DRUGS or ALCOHOL allowed onsite
The venue is close to Luton, London and Birmingham airports and the town itself is on the Main line train network, the venue is only 5 miles from the train station.
